FACEIT has released its list of the most-played Counter-Strike 2 maps for 2025. According to the platform, a clear majority of competitive games took place on just a few familiar locations, underscoring players' and organizers' continued preference for classic map pools.
Mirage emerged as the single most popular map of the year, with more than 15 million matches played on the site. Dust 2 occupied the second spot, while Ancient completed the top three—FACEIT reported roughly 10 million matches on Dust 2 and about 7 million on Ancient.
Taken together, Mirage and Dust 2 accounted for over half of all matches recorded on the platform during 2025, highlighting how a small number of maps dominated play across FACEIT's ecosystem.
The platform published these figures via its social media channels, presenting a snapshot of map popularity across its user base for the year.
Earlier this year some users in Russia experienced access problems with FACEIT. The company attributed those disruptions to restrictions imposed by certain internet service providers, which affected the operation of some of the platform's infrastructure services.
