The Japanese premiere of the film Godzilla: Minus Zero is scheduled for November 3, 2026, with a western release set for November 6, 2026, according to Deadline.

Godzilla: Minus Zero is a direct follow-up to Godzilla: Minus One. Takashi Yamazaki, who directed and wrote the previous installment, returns as both director and screenwriter for the sequel. Yamazaki, known for films such as Lupin III: The First and Always: Sunset on Third Street, is also again overseeing the special effects for the new picture.

Godzilla: Minus One premiered in 2023 and received positive audience scores, including a 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb and a 6.8 out of 10 on the Russian site Kinopoisk. The film won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and was noted as one of the lowest-budget winners in that category in recent decades.
