Netflix has announced that the animated film KPop — Demon Hunters will receive a sequel. The streaming service revealed the follow-up on its social media channels and confirmed that the pair who directed the original film, Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kan, will return to lead the new installment. The original KPop — Demon Hunters was released on June 20, 2025. It earned positive viewer scores, receiving a 7.5 out of 10 on IMDb and a 7.7 out of 10 on Kinopoisk. The film also achieved critical recognition: it won Golden Globe awards for Best Animated Film and Best Original Song, and it was among the contenders in the Academy Awards race.
