Warner Bros. has unveiled new promotional material for the film 'The Bride!'. The studio has issued a second full promotional release highlighting the project's tone and premise.
'The Bride' is presented as a remake of the classic horror story The Bride of Frankenstein. The action is relocated to 1930s Chicago. In the film, Frankenstein's Monster implores a scientist to create a companion for him; the scientist revives the corpse of a murdered woman, who, upon awakening, sets out in search of romance and sparks profound social upheaval.
The film is scheduled to premiere on March 6, 2026. The lead role of the revived woman is played by Jessie Buckley, known for her work in The Lost Daughter and the Chernobyl series. Frankenstein's Monster is portrayed by Christian Bale, whose past credits include The Dark Knight and Equilibrium.
The cast also includes Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening and Jake Gyllenhaal. The picture is written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, who previously received attention for her film The Lost Daughter.
