Former professional Dota 2 player Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen published photos featuring his wife and daughter as the family marked the end of Ramadan. The images show the family dressed up for the occasion, honoring the holiday together.
The photos were taken on March 19, the day of the celebrations that conclude the month of fasting. Topson wore traditional Malay attire known as baju melayu for the event. In Malaysia, the day that ends Ramadan is commonly called Hari Raya.
Topson is originally from Finland, so the holiday is not part of his native national calendar. His wife, Mawar Remy Taavitsainen, however, was born in Kuala Lumpur and observes the traditions associated with the celebration. The family observed the occasion in line with those customs.
The couple have been together for many years; they say they do not have a single official date that marks the start of their relationship. Their daughter, Riina Azalea, was born in 2020 and was present in the family photos shared for the holiday.
Topson stepped away from his professional esports career in September 2024. The recent photos and the family’s observance of Hari Raya underline how personal and cultural traditions continue to play a role in his life after retirement from competitive play.
