Filipe "Astini" on leaving PARIVISION: lost control over drafts and left on good terms

Filipe "Astini", the former coach of PARIVISION's Dota 2 roster, has spoken about why he chose to leave the organization. According to Astini, the decision came after he felt he had lost influence over draft decisions, which prevented him from performing his role effectively. He ultimately decided to part ways with the team for that reason.

Astini emphasized that he cannot and will not go into the confidential details of what unfolded behind the scenes, citing a non-disclosure agreement. He explained that if the team is not winning, airing internal problems publicly serves little purpose; he prefers to respect the club's position rather than make internal disputes public.

He said that, over time, control of the drafts began to slip away from him and the draft directions stopped aligning with his vision. When that happened, he could no longer carry out his duties at the level he expected of himself, which contributed to his decision to leave.

Despite the split, Astini stressed that he has no personal conflicts with the players. He described the parting as amicable and spoke highly of the squad. He singled out a player known as Satanic, saying he genuinely believes the player has the potential to win The International. He also called DM an excellent friend and praised the whole roster as very strong competitors.

Astini noted that the plan had been for him to leave after The International. The organization had intended to bring in a psychologist to try to improve the situation, but that step did not materialize, and both sides ultimately agreed that separation was the best course of action.

Astini joined PARIVISION in October 2024. During his tenure the team won several notable events, including ESL One Bangkok 2024, ESL One Raleigh 2025 and DreamLeague Season 26. Under his guidance the roster also finished third at tournaments such as Riyadh Masters 2025 and The International 2025. He officially left the team in December 2025.
