Valve restores Meepo to the Dota 2 hero pool after fixing ward exploit and other bugs

Dota 2 developers have reopened the option to pick Meepo in matchmaking and other game modes. The restriction on the hero was lifted on the evening of March 27.

Meepo was returned to the hero pool after a series of fixes addressing bugs that could interfere with match flow or grant unfair advantages to players. Among the corrected issues was a vulnerability that allowed a player to use wards an unlimited number of times after purchasing just a single instance.

Valve initially disabled Meepo shortly after the release of the large 7.41 patch during the night of March 25. The hero briefly returned to play but was soon removed again when a variety of new bugs surfaced, including problems that could cause server crashes.

With the recent fixes applied, Meepo is once again available for selection in matchmaking and other modes. The changes aim to prevent the previously seen exploits and stability issues that prompted the temporary removals.
